CORONA BARATHRI’s Tenebrae in Cordibus Vestris is the last ritual meditation Ilya Affectvs conducted with Andrey Kein who left the mundane realm in 2021 era horrificus.

Tenebrae in Cordibus Vestris translates into Darkness in Your Hearts and is addressed to those of the black blood and demonic calling. The album at hand is divided into two parts, both of which plays for a bit over twenty minutes.

As always, Affectvs and Kein have crafted an intricate and rich mammoth of baleful aural pictures. Horroresque soundscapes, sinister chants and traditional instruments; drums pounding deep from the depths, cavernous voices and belligerent noise flogging your psyche. A downwards spiral to the roots of demonic self and luscious evil. Dark enlightenment.

There’s also an elegant ebb and flow between the sacral and sinister elements of the album. While the oriental rhythms seduces listener down the eldritch alleys once threaded by the mad Arab, the noisier attacks nail him / her to the Cross of Saint Peter. Tenebrae in Cordibus Vestris surely isn’t muzak but musick. The sense of vigilant Devil lurking here, there and everywhere is palpable.

Since its founding CORONA BARATHRI has proven to be a highly prolific occult entity with a number of topnotch works channeled and presenced into the causal realm, and Tenebrae in Cordibus Vestris doesn’t present an exception to the rule. To those who have entered the crooked pathways via osculum infame or by other means, Affectvs’s and Kein’s last ritual meditation is a pretty solid choice.
